John is the VP of Benefits at Johnson Pohlmann Insurance. He as been a Team Member for 24 years. John has been in the insurance industry for 34 years and has earned certifications as Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Workers Compensation Advisor. John is a Past Chairman of Big I of Kentucky. John grew up in Danville KY, attended Danville High School and the University of Kentucky. When not at work, John enjoys playing golf, watching his daughter play golf, and being out on the lake.
Scott Burks, CIC, CWCA
VP, Commercial Lines
Scott was born in Louisville, KY but his family moved to Danville when he was very young. Scott calls Danville his home town. Scott has been a Team Member at Johnson Pohlmann Insurance for more than 20 years. Before that, Scott was in sales and insurance for 10 years at several companies located in south eastern states. Scott is Vice President of Commercial Lines Insurance. Scott attended Boyle County High School and the University of Kentucky. He holds insurance certifications as CIC and CWCA. When not at work Scott enjoys romantic dinners and long walks on the beach with his partner.
John Russell, CWCA
John has been a Team Member of Johnson Pohlmann Insurance for 15 years. He is Producer and Account Executive focusing on Business-Commercial and Agribusiness. John has enjoyed building trust and relationships in the insurance industry for almost 20 years. He calls Danville, KY his hometown. John graduated from Boyle County High School and the Western Kentucky University. John is a Certified Workers Compensation Advisor. When not at work John enjoys being with his wife and 2 kids, hunting and fishing, playing golf, and serving at church and in the community. He is an avid sports fan who follows UK athletics.
Jon Scalf, PLCS
Risk Advisor, Family Lines
Jon has been a brings 4 years of insurance experience to the Family Lines team. He is Producer and Account Executive focusing on Business-Home, Auto, Life, and Long Term Care. Jon has previously worked as a financial advisor. Jon holds a degree in psychology from Georgetown College and grew up in Scott County. Job holds a Personal Lines Coverage Specialist designation. He is an avid golfer who lives in Danville, KY with his wife and son.
Josh has been in insurance for several years and his experience includes a degree from EKU in Risk Management and Insurance. Josh recently became a Team Member at Johnson Pohlmann Insurance. Josh is an Account Executive and Risk Advisor. He is also a proud Navy Veteran and Kentucky Farmer. When not at work, Josh enjoys attending church at Saint Sylvester, anything and everything outdoors, He also enjoys writing music, poetry, and short stories.

Shelly has been at Team Member of Johnson Pohlmann Insurance for six years and she has been in the insurance industry for over 12 years. Shelly manages the Family Lines insurance team and she is also the Claims Manager for all property and casualty claims. Shelly is proud to help customers insure their most important assets and being there for her clients every step of the way through any claim big or small. She enjoys the relationships she has made and continues to make. Shelly is from Stanford, Ky and attended Lincoln County High School. She loves to travel when not at work.
Pam has been in the insurance industry for four years. She has been a Team Member of Johnson Pohlmann Insurance for about a year. Pam’s primary role on the team is Family Lines Account Manager. She enjoys assisting people in finding the best coverage for their home, vehicles, and other personal belongings as well as managing their accounts as life changes and coverage needs arise. Pam was raised in Nicholasville, attended West Jessamine High School, and now lives in Boyle County. When not at work Pam likes to spend time with family, go shopping, and exercising.
Pam has been in the insurance industry for over twelve years. She has been a Team Member of Johnson Pohlmann Insurance for about a year. Tammy’s primary role on the team is Family Lines Account Manager. She enjoys assisting people in finding the best coverage for their home, vehicles, and other personal belongings as well as managing their accounts as life changes and coverage needs arise.

Steph has been a Team Member of Johnson Pohlmann Insurance for seven years and has been in insurance for 14 years. She is an Account Manager for commercial and agribusiness clients. Steph enjoys meeting new people and helping people understand the complex insurance world, making sure that business and farms are insured properly to protect their livelihood. Steph calls Harrodsburg her hometown. She attended Mercer County High School. When she is not at work, Steph enjoys spending time with her husband and three girls., reading, camping, and riding horses.
